We apply under the non-profit exemption, Section DJ17 of the Income Tax Act 1994 for exemption from filing an Income Tax Return. We suggest that the Project is within the category of a trade association, whereby it fosters the interests of members and is not carried on for profit or gain. It is a farming group which receives grants from a Government Department to offset capital or expenses which do not produce any income.
