Sustainable Farming Fund Climate Change (SFF-CC)

The Sustainable Farming Fund - Climate Change portfolio is a new initiative that comes out of the Sustainable Land Management and Climate Change Plan of Action.

Two million dollars per year has been allocated to invest in farmer, forester and grower led projects specifically related to climate change.

The Sustainable Farming Fund will accept proposals that can demonstrate a genuine ability to advance the following climate change related objectives:

  • Adaptation - reducing the impact of climate change on the primary industries;
  • Mitigation - reducing greenhouse gas emissions and their impact on the environment and improving the efficient use of resources;
  • Business opportunities - capitalising on related business opportunities such as life cycle analysis, carbon farming and bioenergy.
