As part of MAF's risk management, imports into New Zealand must meet strict biosecurity standards to be given clearance. Likewise countries we export to also require that our produce meets their required standards. MAF provides assistance to exporters to gain access to markets by ensuring that requirements set by importing countries are met. Produce can be refused entry into a country if official requirements are not met. |
