Introduction
Welcome to MAF's Statement of Intent 2006/09.
Over the past year there have been some significant developments in MAF's strategic focus and these are reflected in this SOI. These changes include:
- Strengthening MAF's role as a sustainable development agency.
- Introduction of three key strategic priorities.
- Recognition of the need for greater focus on MAF's contribution to outcomes for New Zealand as opposed to an internal MAF focus.
- Recognition of the need for a robust set of performance targets to drive organisational contribution.
- Broader focus on organisational development rather than infrastructure enhancements.
While this change in focus will enhance MAF's contribution, further work is required to transform it into the strategy-led organisation it needs to be to continue making a positive difference for our country. This transformation will be ongoing over the next three years.
