Recruitment Campaign for Dairying
A campaign designed to encourage people to take a closer look at career opportunities in dairying began recently. Spearheaded by television exposure and supported by print and radio advertising, the campaign, funded by Dairy InSight, is the third phase of a promotional programme, begun in 2004. It is designed to lift the profile of dairying with the wider community, as well as attracting new motivated people into the industry.
The campaign targets, in particular, those in their 20s and 30s who are contemplating a change of career and who might be attracted by what the dairy industry offers. The campaign is based around "real people working on real farms," letting some of those who have made the switch to dairying tell their own stories. Another feature of the campaign is an easily accessible response centre, capable of providing information to those who inquire further.
