ACC Levy Changes
Changes to next year's ACC levies were announced at the end of the year. The average annual vehicle levy will drop about 8 percent, to $190, effective from 1 July. However, the self-employed will be subject to a 10 percent increase, taking their levies to $3.54 for every $100 of earnings*. The employers' levy* remains the same ($1.21 for every $100 earned) but the levy on all earners increases nearly 9 percent, to $1.16 for every $100 of earnings. All levies are exclusive of GST, and the earnings levies are effective from 1 April this year.
