Warm Homes
Home owners now have an authoritative and comprehensive guide to the methods and costs of home heating. The Ministry for the Environment (MfE) has published "Warm Homes Technical Report: Detailed Study of Heating Options".
This phase 1 report includes the results of the review of current literature on home heating. It analyses appliance energy efficiency by type of appliance, appliance costs (capital and operating), typical use of appliance, adverse effects of use, beneficial effects of use, ease of operation, availability of fuel supplies, and the regulations controlling each heating appliance.
