A supplementary discussion document for the Sustainable Land Management and Climate Change Consultation

The Government recently released a discussion document on options for a Plan of Action for Sustainable Land Management and Climate Change.

One of the options raised in the discussion document is to introduce a tradeable permit regime for deforestation. The purpose of this paper is to discuss in more detail how such a tradeable permit regime might be designed and implemented.
